Anyone else been past Waterhall this afternoon and seen the Army mobilizing? It looks like we are heading for full lockdown same as Europe very soon.

They are constructing enclosures. Not sure if morgues or testing centres.

Get your shopping in asap.

MESSAGE FROM MODERATOR, to all:

Given that the above has transpired to be made up scare-mongering bullshit, the poster has received a long ban from NSC.

As will anybody posting anything similar.

It isn't funny, helpful or welcome.

Please don't do it.

Would that be Facebook by any chance?

I dont know, a message from a treasurer of a large sporting club.
Just putting the OPs post regarding Waterhall and the message together and wondering.

People can cope with a 2 week stay at home but two weeks of locking down Facebook? There would be riots. Burning torches and placards of what they had for dinner, thrust into people's faces. People shouting weird things through your letterbox. People actually playing Scrabble in real life. Cats playing pianos for real. It would be the end of times.

You are correct in your morgue assumption, it is a Government contingency.

Not stockpilling. Just get enough in for a week or so. These announcements are last minute. Feeling within industries is announcement to put London on lockdown tomorrow evening and rest of country by weekend.

Just need to prepare. Rest of Europe is on lockdown so what makes you think we will be exempt?

Mrs.H & I have been ahead of the curve on that one for years, we're lockdown-ready.

Completely understand the need to pack your own parachute, BUT please don’t contribute to the behavioural ****wittery by proclaiming a need to ‘get the shopping in!’ Even in France (under draconian lockdown) you can go out for food. The completely stupid and unnecessary social interaction provoked by trying to queue and fight over packs of bog roll and pasta (and now every ****ing thing else) is doing more to spread the virus and further disadvantage the vulnerable than anything else.

Hopefully the panic buyers will be infecting each other and thus proving Darwin right.

Do we even have an Army big enough to control and contain 65 million people ?
