Hello NSC.

Has anyone got any leads on where to watch the Albion in Vancouver?

Any recommended 'socccaaar' bars?

I've searched far and wide in downtown Van.
Unfortunately none of the bars I've searched have the US Bein channels/Canadian sports channels that show EFL games.

I missed last years play-offs trying every bar and going through the channels, but no joy.

If you manage to find one, I'll be delighted and surprised.

I've been streaming since being over here. Sorry!

Edit: Who's coming over? And is it for a holiday, travel, work?

Disaster.

My stepson has decided to up sticks and head on out with his girlfriend. They've work visas sorted and are there looking for work - ideally in areas of ecology etc.

I'm as jealous as can be and in immense awe of them both.

Doesn't the old Setanta sports operate over in Canada anymore?
Not sure what they're called know.

I don’t know how accurate this list is and not all are in downtown Vancouver but it’s a start.

http://www.livesoccertv.com/pubs/british-columbia/

Also, not downtown, but I know the Rose And Crown in Tsawwassen (not listed on the above website) has Bein TV (or the Canadian equivalent).

Another possibility is one of the casino’s. I watched the Arsenal cup game at the Starlight Casino in Queensborough a few years ago.

Almost all the bars show football over here, but the EFL games are usually on Bein 5 or a latter Bein channel which aren't picked up in the bars I've searched.
Same goes for here in Banff, no EFL games, only Premier League.

I believe Setanta over here is SportsNet, which again, only show Premier League.

Good luck to them both, feel free to get in touch if they need any advise or a friendly face to show them around. I'll be back in Van late March/April.
If either plays football, there's loads of rec leagues here.

Make sure he has subscribed to Seagulls Player and knows how to stream!

I have - in the past - caught games in both the Railway Tavern and the strangely huge Elephant and Castle on Burrard. The E&C is probably the most likely of the two to be "open to requests" though!

Literally no idea, got friends I met travelling there. I'm only in Vancouver for like 2 or so months before I head to Whistler to do my snowboarding instructor course, then i'll spend the season there before heading back to Vancouver around April

Any recommendations ?

Had two weeks in Vancouver and Whistler last July and it was incredible, my favourite place in the world (granted I'm not particularly well travelled). The 'FlyOver Canada' experience at Canada Place is well worth doing. Had a couple of trips out with 'Prince of Whales' although didn't actually see any whales (apparently we were unlucky but not sure if they always say that), didn't regret it though as incredible scenery. I'd love to live there for a bit one day, very jealous!

The Three Brits bar at English Bay might be worth a try, definitely had Prem games on.

Saves me making my own thread, another one heading to Vancouver and then onto Whistler and will be looking for pubs to watch our games.
I know it is mentioned a lot on here but get some sort of Kodi box, it works in all countries. You don't even need a box, I have kodi installed on my phone and my Kindle, so very portable. 😉

Also jealous of people moving to Canada, especially ones doing a snowboard instructors course and doing that as a living!
