As documented elsewhere, I'm at a wedding Saturday and there's unlikely to be a telly set up so I'm going to be watching it on my phone.
Questions to the wise:
Hotel Wifi or 4g ?
If 4g, how much data will a 90 min match use ?

The amount of data used to stream programmes will vary depending on the length of the programme, and the video quality. The mobile app will adjust the quality according to the connection strength. An hour-long programme will typically use 700MB of data, so if data-use is a concern, it might be best to switch to WiFi, or download via WiFi and watch offline.

This should read, some mobile apps adjust quality according to connection strength/speed.

Just don't watch it and enjoy the wedding. Or, if it's *that* important to you, swerve the wedding

My take on these types of things is that you won't be invited to weddings very often in your life, but there'll be
10 * as many England matches to watch. Give the wedding your attention and just keep abreast
of score updates.

I love a good wedding free food & booze 😄interesting to see who you share the table with if you aren’t family.
Granted the formalities are a bit boring,

At our daughter’s wedding reception one of our guests was my nephew from Australia, who, at 22 stone, looks like a WWE wrestler complete with shaved head and goatee beard. When the waitress came round with the wine - red or white sir? - he asked her, in typical Oz fashion, have you got any amber?

Now my nephew turned out to be the life and soul of the party and certainly drank accordingly. It was around midnight I asked him how he was getting back to his B&B. No worries, he replied, I’ll kip on the sofa over there. You can’t do that, I said, this is a hotel and they won’t allow it. Being the kind and generous uncle that I am I booked him a room - all sorted.

The following morning I went to settle our bill and my nephew’s. It was then I found out the cheeky bugger had run up a bar tab of £100+ and put it on his room account. Families eh! :tantrum:

There are some people making assumptions here about the game so may I be the first to say that I hope you manage to watch Bart playing in the Netherlands vs Turkey game okay while at the wedding

Booze only! A lot, a f***ing hell of a lot! I would imagine the hotel would have doubled up on restocking the bar the following morning.

As an aside to this he was over visiting  us a couple of years later. At the time the Lions rugby team were touring South Africa and the first test match was being shown on TV at the Walkabout here in Southampton. As I have stated my nephew is enormous and decided he was going to wear his Canberra rugby jersey ( XXXXXL size) for the occasion. When we arrived at the Walkabout the place was rammed. As we went through the doors the punters stood aside like the parting of the Red Sea to let us get to the bar. We trebled up with three pints of amber(!) each to start with. This set the scene for the next EIGHT hours!

As I said in my previous post my nephew is the life and soul of the party and he certainly stepped up to the mark that day. We had a great time mixing with a load of Irish and Saffa fans. Not too sure about the following morning though! 🤮
