yep, although it shouldnt be since its not a broadcast, but a one to one client/server connection. until someone challanges this in court, its illegal.

The BBC is funded by the license fee, the license fee is for watching ANYTHING capable of receiving live television pictures.

Even if the ITV site is a few minutes out of date, that constitutes a live broadcast.

Not illegal to watch just DVDs etc.. without a licence fee.

This is of course technically, I'd be interested if anyone has been done for watching a streaming broadcast.

Untrue. The BBC are the beneficiaries of the licence but *any* television watching requires a licence.

Thats not very clear really. I can get TV on my laptop using a plug in device, which I would assume is what its referring to (as it then becomes television receiving equipment), but if I'm watching ITV.com, which is about 10 seconds behind, I would say that its not then television receiving equipment, its just watching video content on their website, then I wouldn't need a licence.
