10 seconds behind is "as they are being shown on TV", its almost exactly the same delay that people receiving it on Freeview in the far north of the country or Northern Ireland get over the analogue signal. Ten hours behind isn't classed as the same as TV.

You can now watch BBC News 24 Live online from the BBC website. No warning pops up telling me I need a license. You would have thought that the BBC would be pretty picky on ensuring you had a license and would check first. So from that, I'm assuming that you don't need one. Same with Channel 4 OD (although that isn't live).

In the BBC's t&c's it says you do, it isnt hugely visible though i admit!

I've never noticed that. They're normally so picky on license fees. Thought they'd ask for some kind of license number before you can watch stuff, but no.

I know, it's as if theyre trying to catch you out!!!

I had to look into it when I was in halls as they used to log our webpages
