I have no idea why people wear watches when they can look at their phone!? Just screams pen pusher to me
A proper watchmaker is a very highly skilled specialist, and there is a real shortage of them Omega founded their own school in the UK, because it was the only was to fill the posts. There are specific Omega movements that only two or three people are qualified to work on.
Steinhart Ocean One Vintage is what i'm wearing at the moment.
If that is a 16550 cream/creme rail dial that is the understatement of the day and is a rare and desirable watch.I've worn a Rolex Explorer 2 since I bought it second hand for £300 in 1986. I wear it every day but take it off at night. It's functional, feels reassuring on my wrist and is possibly one of the best investments I made!
I don't understand your logic here, one little bit. I work at a desk sonme days, and on construction sites on others. If I'm on site and I want to know the time, I can glance at my wrist. Checking my phone would mean removing my gloves, ripping open the pocket on my trousers, pulling out the phone, waking it up, look at the time, put it away again, then put my gloves back on.
That's quite apart from the fact that mobiles are BANNED on a lot of sites...

I'm left handed and wear mine on my left wrist.I presume the left wrist is because everyone is right handed?

When I took my Breitling to a independent he said he couldn't work on it as Breitling wont sell parts to anyone else and this policy basically allows them to charge what they like for servicing.
