Just hope that the players stayed in and watched the Germany V Italy game last night. They might learn a thing or two about flair, passion and exciting football.

What a spectacle last night. End to end football, exciting football, great refereeing, energy and players who could do things with a ball. All the things completely lacking by England. Sorry but watching England play is like watching paint dry....it'sa just NOT exciting.

I'm not suprised that 4 out of the 5 worst voted games in the World Cup were England games !!

For me the World Cup has been disappointing, including the England games, and that is why I didn't watch the match last night.

I am a fool.

I hope FIFA was watching last night. The Ref allowed that game to be what it was.

The refs have ruined this World cup for me :(

agree the refs (or more so the fifa directives) have taken the edge of the WC easpecially the 2nd round onwards.
Last night was quality though .

I think the 1/4 finals with our style of play is about right

In some ways both teams were too well organised and too defensively sound to allow it to be a classic last night, the commentators were going WAY OTT.

very exciting and good match, and best 0-0 at this world cup.

best 0-0 i have ever seen was in 84 when my local german side offenbach played v dortmund in the bundesliga. could have ended 8-8 or 10-10, honestly.

if i remember correctly we hit the post/crossbar 5 times, dortmund 3. both keepers were world class that day, nobody could believe that score afterwards... it was unreal

Unfortunately for all the hype surrounding our midfield we do not have a player anywhere near as good as Pirlo, we don't even seem to have that type of player, let alone one of his quality.

Would totally disagree that Lampard, Gerrard, cole, beckham are not in the same class as Pirlo...

I would suggest it is more that tactically we got it so, so wrong...

amazing that the 3 teams left in the competition all play the 4-2-3-1 formation....this allows players to express themselves.

Isn't Offenbach where Brazil trained in front of 25,000 people?

Cardiff or Offenbach though. Id choose Offenbach! I thought it was okay just a big suburb.
dont like offenbach as a city. it surely has its nice parts as well, but i am not to keen on it. prefer cardiff by a mile
