brighton fan for life as i've always lived here. my dad kinda supports spurs as he was from that neck of the woods, but i think he was converted to the albion and so was glad i supported them as opposed to spurs, he doesnt think much of Glenn Hoddle either, or most of the spurs squad(bar BZ of course) either.

Born Brighton 1942. Lived Hove until 18. Despite moving around the world once an Albion Fan..always.
PS so was my Dad and all his 7 brothers,
PPS Always A Sussex CC fan too. If Sussex win the County Championship this year this will be the biggest sporting achievement in the County of all time. Yes..bigger than the Albion getting into the old 1st Division or getting to the Cup Final.
Discuss.

Born & bred in Brighton. Dad supported the Albion when he was young, Mum supported Southampton. I never considered ever supporting anyone else I hope Emily feels the same devotion when she is older. When I told her that our Hartlepool tickets had arrived today, she jumped for joy!:)

I think I was, but it's all so long ago now......

Van der gully, re Junior Seagulls, your best bet is to ring the club shop and they will send u application form. All you need is a passport photo of the sprog in question, and I think the fee is a fiver.

I'm off tomorrow to re-register my two Albionettes.

Being a Surrey lad Palace was my destiny...til we moved to Seaford when I was about one. Oh what might have been...The Holmesdale End, Ron Noades, Wright and Bright, the right end of a 5-0 result, the wrong end of a 9-0 nightmare.

Born BHA. First saw them In the 70s when I was 6 or 7. Never considered supporting anyone else though my interest has waned at times - think I'd forget about football if the Albion dropped out of the league. Can't imagine what it'll be like for a Notts Cty or Oldham supporter if they go bust. All these premier team supporters who've never seen their team play are bloody sad cases.

If your dad comes from Sunderland and you call him a Geordie, he'll be mad as hell. He's a mackem.

:lolol:

Both my parents and all four grandparents were true Geordies (Tynesiders, that is).

It's rubbed off on me only to the extent of smiling slightly when Newcastle United do well in Europe. Which isn't very often.

I came to support the Albion five years after I first came to Brighton - having previously clung on to allegiances made much earlier. Finding myself living within walking distance of the Goldstone is what made the difference.

went to the cup final within a week of becoming a teenager - that pretty much did it for me for some reason

Born in Oxford. All my family were Oxford fans. We then moved to Aldershot where i went to see my first game. However, we moved to worthing in 1976 and my love affair with Albion began. I think it helped watching a Team win regularly in those days !!!

Hove, f***ing ACTUALLY.
Yes, born in Brighton and grew up a Brighton fan, first game was the cup final at the age of 9, 2 years and 30 games later my Dad was forced to move to Aberdeen as he worked for BP as an engineer, where we lived for 12 years.
Although we went to see Aberdeen most weeks, my heart (and my dads) was still blue and white striped.

Terrible confession time. Grew up in Chelmsford so watched them but the first match I saw was the '68 European Cup Final and I was captivated by George Best and Man U. Moved to Brighton in 1974 and started watching the Albion, but still considered myself a United fan.

Got a place at Manchester University, the only reason why I wanted to go there was the football, and started attending Old Trafford every match in the Stretford End, saw Bryan Robson sign for them on the pitch etc etc.

Something was missing, no idea what it was, went down to Brighton to see them play United on 22nd November 1980 on the overnight special with a load of United fans, the Albion were stuffed 4-1, yet during those 90 minutes I realised the true love of my life was the Albion........and will be til I die:bounce:

My dad was born in Birkenhead and was a liverpool fan so as a kid I supported liverpool

Shouldn't that have been Tranmrere Rovers?!

My late Dad was a Brighton fan. I used to live not far from the Golstone ground and, as a child, could hear the roar of the crowd. I wanted to experience it first hand so I asked if I could go with him. That's when I first became hooked1 I've never had any inclination to support a fashionable club - I went to an all girls school :( and was not subjected to peer pressure to follow the likes of Liverpool or Man U. Whenn I lived and worked in London I chose to follow QPR (when I couldn't get to Brighton's away matches) My nearest club was Chelsea but I couldn't stand them then and I loathe them even more now - as much as Man U!
