Must say, I'm extremely surprised that the club itself are cheerily putting this about on our own web site.
In the first place, if this is a strategy then why pretty much ensure that every future opponent knows about it. At the very least they'll make a huge fuss.
And secondly, isn't it illegal anyway? My understanding was that the opposition had to have the chance to train on the surface in its 'game state'. I don't see how that is possible with heavy watering at half-time. Were Luton even told the pitch would be different in the second half?
