Bollocks. No it isn't.

Brilliantly constructed argument.

Look at the amount of replies and views of any thread about football hooliganism, and the amount of "my mate said it all kicked off" type bollocks posted by people on this board. Its so tiresome.

I can't help but notice that you seem keen to contribute to such threads all the same. If you really do find them 'so tiresome', why bother to read them?

And like I said. it was a cardiff fan who told me this whom was actually there. Not one of my mates but someone that was in his late forties that was having a quiet pint in the Sportsman with me DBS and some bloke who saw his first Albion game in 1941.
Not exactly someone who enjoys spouting off about football violence.

And while we are on the subject I spent 2 years researching Football violence and the social norms that go with them so yes it does interest me purely from the fact that I researched it. I do not condone the fact that you always have a small group of idiots that like to fight at football but after researching the reasons why I think you wiould actually find that it is a very intricate life that most hooligans have had and thus consider violence as being the norm

To make the above point. I know what you're saying though, I find myself worryingly drawn towards this sort of bollocks.

I just can't believe that someone can type....

"my mate Terry said that ten of Cardiff's mob were givin it the large one in The Kings Head then the Old Bill came steaming in and started twattin any c*nt in site then four Brighton mob who were all tooled up started mouthing off bout some c*nt who was givin it all the large one about some c*nt who was mouthing off who was also givin it the mouth one about this geezer who was largin off and squaring up to the old bill all tooled up and mouthing off about some c*nt who was givin it the large one"

without feeling like an absolute twat.

Its the whole "my mate said" aspect of it that pisses me off, because it usually written by someone called Tarquin from Haywards Heath who gets his kicks from coming on to North Stand Chat and mouthing off about some c*nt
. Who was giving it the large one.

My names not Tarquin it is cuthbert :lolol: :lolol:

On a serious note you do get alot of people that come out with absolute rubbish when talking about the whole holigan thing. If I had used any of it in my research I would have probably been laughed out of the country

I think you will find it is the 15 year old Chav's that do the my mate thing instead of people called tarquin though
