The point Harty made about spare seats not used was very valid.

The club should pick schools at random and offer the seats to kids free if necessary so that they get a taste of what is to come when we move to Falmer.

Its a good point, but it really all depends on the weather on Saturday, as the last few games when it has been decent (hmm !)has seen a good few tickets sold on a Saturday.

Logistically also, away clubs dont normally send their allocation back till mid week, sometimes later, so it can be a bit of a lottery, bit late in the day to offer 100 tickets to a school on a Friday when most people have already made plans.

Couldn't understand what The Club's problem was regarding the student with the dupe ticket......surely, it would be simple enough to issue him with a 2nd ticket and then ask one of the stewards to simply check that the original seat was empty once the game had started. Then they wouldn't have upset (at least) 2 long term Albion supporters? cos, after all, there was about 1000 empty seats yesterday !!

I've never had a problem with the 2 times I've left my ticket in Guildford:blush:

So long as you send the replaced ticket in for a refund you won't have a problem next time it happens. Apparently, the kid in question has needed duplicate tickets 4 times before...if he doesn't return the originals he has to expect some questionning by the club? If he does return them then the club needs to revise its system.

The original seat shouldn't be empty once the game started cos the DUPLICATE ticket would be for the same seat - therefore the chap himself would be sitting in that seat.

With god knows how many other seats spare it would not have been difficult for the person with the original ticket to have found a place.

The answer lies in whether or not the original was returned. But if it was either lost or not received in the post how the hell can you return it?
When I left my ticket at home they asked for a £10 deposit which wasn't returned until I had returned the original. Last season a mate of mine was asked for £20.
