Wolves away last season and Peterborough away under Gus were on a par
Was at that Peterborough away game. (Loved the old standing in London Road), It was a champagne performance too.

But this eclipses it, this is the top end of the PL against league champions 2 years ago, multiple CL winners/finalists in recent seasons and we blew them away.

90 minutes of total domination and exquisite football against one of the big 6 clubs.

I only listened on radio, how did today compare to Man United at home last season.
Better. At least ManUre were in disarray, and they also sent in a few stinging shots when they decided to be arsed for a few minutes. Today we DID NOT LET LIVERPOOL PLAY. Not a all. We RUINED them.

best I have ever seen since started watching in 1983 - straight down the other end attacks and one touch passing was amazing as was being in WSL level with penalty area at end the goals were scored in

took them to the cleaners doesn't really begin to cover it

miles better than Wolves away last season - Wolves were crap

Peterborough 4-0 away was good too - but they ain't recent Champions League or EPL winners

I said to my friend walking past the Liverpool coach (the big red one, not Klopp) outside the West Stand entrance : "I honestly think that's the best football I've EVER seen Brighton play..."

Turns out many people think the same, which is reassuring as a pundit or expert I am not.

We've beaten big sides before. And we've beaten Liverpool at Anfield.

They were all great, memorable victories. But the manner of today's victory was the difference.

If someone was at the game who knew absolutely nothing about football, they'd have chosen us as the side with the passionate fanbase and the rich history of domestic and European success.

Today was the best.

Ever.

You got to see Alex Dawson and the Napier brothers, so you didn't miss much

And for others, no pedantry please, it's a joke.

They weren't brothers or related at all. Kit RIP remains our best ever corner taker, but our team now .. wow! Greatest performance I've ever seen from us, and to give Klopp his dues, he was full of praise for us.
 :lolol:

Yes it was, and I think what makes it stand out is its part of a really sustained good run in the Premier league. Some of our best results since we got promoted have been surrounded by fairly disappointing results against dross teams, WBA, Southampton etc. Since the WC break we have been outstanding, even in our one defeat. I work with a gooner who is convinced if Mitoma's offside goal had been given we'd have got something out of that game.

Considering opposition most complete performance I have ever seen by Albion. After an outstanding first half thought we may have missed chance. But no, Liverpool didnt even have 5 mins of dominance in all the game.

Been watching since 1953. That was the most pure sublime football I have ever seen us play. We totally outclassed Liverpool with delightful one touch football. What a team and a coach we have.
Sublime is the word - it was not just about the win and dominating it was the all round quality & pace of our football , 6-8 touches to break through a tight mid field. Wellbeck's finish summed it up though...
