dean hammond was forced out of this club - at the end of the day Dean knows what he meant to true fans and the idiots that slag him off on here havent got a clue - how many more people at this club are going to be slagged off by Dick and shown the door until people realise that dick doesn't always tell the truth

Ah, you're back - and still not thinking.

What form did Dick's slagging of Dean take?

the only way he could POSSIBLY have been forced out is if the club gambled that the murray signing would be financed by hammond being sold. then, when no bids came in for him they were forced into excepting colchesters bid for exactly the same as the original fee they had turned down

obviously this is not likely as it has been stated elsewhere that the blooms financed the signing

Perhaps the question should be, are we signing to many greedy players then? Apparrently Hammond and Savage are to greedy, and you may say the same for george O'C.

Then again if it was you as the player, what would you honestly do, negotiate a shit contract or a good one?

Good players have a tendancy to want to be paid more than bad players, thats football. If we're saying we don't want good players then perhaps thats why not many people come and watch at the Withdean anymore.

Financed in the knowledge that we were about to sell Revell, Elder and Hammond! Not a huge risk.

it was a risk if hammond turned around after the murray signing and said he wanted to stay - that is 2/3rds of the murray fee not coming into the club
