What is a realistic lead that we could have a chance to win the game?

We're not going to salvage a draw; it's down to can we get enough of a lead and then skittle them out.

Currently 159/4. Still trail by 81.

I reckon we would need a lead of 150 to have any chance. So another 230 with 6 wickets left.

That sounds about right. No faffing about with a draw (as you say) - go for it. Mushy only needs a couple of sessions to cause absolute carnage.

Can we at least TRY to make them bat again?

Perhaps not

We've been dicked there, big time.

No need for panic just yet, but with other squad players making little impact, Mushy and Naved carrying the bowling and 2 England call-ups yesterday there is cause for concern.

I guess you could argue that it's looking like a mistake that we didn't strengthen the batting lineup.

Oh well - early days yet.

I see Van Der Wath is doing the business though:eek:

I agree that we've a batsman light.

Monty and Adams are knocking on a bit and it was already apparent that Yardy would be involved with England this summer.

It looks to me as though Sussex can't afford to bring in any quality, so have pinned their hopes on Hopkinson coming through. He's started well, it's just the other batsmen in this game that have flopped.
