Chants of Wanker throughout, in numerous hand gestures that were just as bad and worse than he gave back. Lets not pretend otherwise.

There was one very loud chant of Wanker as he came out for his lap of honour walking along with a load of the players toddlers for christ sake.
I didn't see what he actually got sent off for, I assumed at the time it was for swearing but apparently there was some kind of wanker gesture? In which case I can assure you that HUNDREDS of Brighton fans were giving him the exact same gesture as he ran up to celebrate his goal with us.
Ok, so he got a lot more than 'just a shit Balotelli'.
Perhaps as you werent at the match you shouldn't be commenting?
I'm commenting on what Warnock said on national tv. He wasn't at the game and didn't listen to it either, so perhaps you agree with me that he shouldn't be commenting. And since you didn't see what he actually got sent off for, you shouldn't be commenting either?

No Mr Retardium, he stated that he heard Racists abuse from Millwall (yet I gather he failed to report this abuse). Then he said "so what they were"...... and stopped short of saying what our fans were doing. Hense the word ALLUDED. Then Leroy runs in with "its what their fans (Brighton) wanted. Somehow trying to add in the space of 2 minutes, that Racists abuse at Millwall and the abuse from OUR fans (racists or not) has contributed to Dioufs reaction towards our fans.
I agree with the point of your thread, although I think what Warnock said was
"He gets abused like you've never heard, you saw the racial abuse he got at Millwall, he gets abused every game and I'm sure the fans there were"

No, he said that he gets abuse every game (he does) including some racist abuse at Millwall. He then said he was sure that we gave him abuse today. We did. Him getting sent off was absolutely what I wanted, I didn't give him a torrent of abuse all match for the fun of it, I did it because I know hes will give you a reaction, we got one and it might have won us the game. Stop being so ****ing precious. Grow up. Move on.

Wanker.
Did you watch the after match round up chat or not?
Because you seem to be commenting on what happened at the game and not what Mr Warnock was saying. Watch it back, he clearly blames the homo gesture, or wanker gesture, whatever, on the abuse Diouf gets from fans. Sorry but Diouf should man up. If you cant take it, dont dish it out! I'm sure he didnt get any racist abuse from our fans and to use that as an excuse for his behaviour is pathetic. They alluded to the fact that Diuof gets racists abuse and abuse in general, hense giing him the excuse to be a fcucking tw@t. I dont buy it.

Cockface.
I like the new signatures.

The first reaction I had was "So it's our fault Diouf is a knob and got himself sent off?". I do agree that when you abuse players like Diouf, Bellamy, Barton etc you always know there's a chance they'll react so fans do pick on them. It's a self fulfilling prophecy though, he only gets the abuse because he's been such a tosser before.

Is that it?
Unlikely.

He ran 50 yards over to the away end, where he threw his arms about as if to suggest he were to somehow take on all 3000 travelling fans. He then preceded to grab his genitals and do a 'wanker' gesture, and somebody sat right at the front (I was further back) told me that he mouthed the words 'f*cking homo's'.

If so (or even just the first offence without the accused words) it's an offensive/abusive or insulting gesture, which is a red card under the laws of the game. End of.
Yep.
Also, anyone defending the little runt by saying he was abused is an absolute HELMET. These players give themselves such a reputation that they must learn to deal with 'wanker' chants. Maybe next time a referee should be granted permission to flick the v's at home fans following 'the referee's a w*nker' being sung, it's the same logic.
Good point (and it would be funny).

I was more annoyed that they didnt talk about what a fantastic win it was for us and give us any credit for our excellent form recently to qualify for the play offs before Palace, Leicester, Forest and Bolton.

Oh well, might be better to go under the radar I suppose.

The colour of Diouf's skin has absolutely nothing to do with the abuse he gets from not only Albion fans, but most fans in this league. He is hated for the spitting, niggling, mouthy little scumbag he is. Can't be many players who are more universally despised... am sure most football fans smiled today seeing a red card next to his name.

This.

So Warnock hears Diouf get racially abused and yet fails to report it and then alludes that Brighton fans did the very same to get a reaction out of diouf, which then got him sent off?

Utter bollocks, and Warnock needs to be fined for not reporting racial abuse at Millwall.

He doesn't suggest the same, get a grip. I'm pretty sure the Millwall incident was reported remember hearing about it before.

How quickly his positive words about the Albion and his backing of our stadium plans on TV are forgotten. Some people are soooo touchy it's unreal.

It wasn't quite like that. He said (practically word for word):
"He gets abused like you've never heard, you saw the racial abuse he got at Millwall, he gets abused every game and I'm sure the fans there were"

So although he didn't see the game, or listen to it (like we did), he's sure our fans abused Diouf.

it was very late at night here
but thats exactly how i understood him

If as has been suggested our fans got him to react so much so that he got a red card, well done to our fans, isnt that the aim of the abuse given to opponent and to put them off of their game..

Exactly. I thought it was supposed to home advantage, but our away fans yesterday were epic.

There's a lack of clarity over the word abuse. Some of our fans are saying we gave Diouf abuse, but Warnock was talking about abuse like racial abuse, and in that context, our fans were really only giving him stick.

How many times do you hear the supporters get called the "12th Man". In today's case, there were the "12th" and "11th" men. Well done to the away support on a fine job on Diouff :albion2:

Did he not get subbed at the Amex, as he was reacting to most things the crowd were getting at him with?

Players like Marlon King, Lee Hughes etc deal with it, why can't Diouf.

Ref was spot on, and credit to the lino.

This 100% If I was earning what Diouf gets I would gladly be called a wanker all day everyday. Come to think of it with my job I usually do and only earn in a year what Shit Ballotelli does in a week. He should man up the pussy.

Im sorry, but if as a footballer you cant handle abuse then its best not to actually be a footballer, where you will get abuse.

What Foolg said happened, hopefully it was caught by a TV camera as im sure the FA will want to see it. Also an idiot to do it right in front of the linesman and credit to him for actually telling the ref, although since Diouf was actually giving him stick through the first-half anyway, including making a "glasses" gesture to him after not giving a corner (which was a good decision) - i suspect he took pleasure in him getting sent off.

What Warnock said was disgraceful and I'll be emailing the BBC asking for them to issue an apology on next week's programme. I think it's pretty clear to everyone watching what he was suggesting, without using those exact words, and that's a pretty serious accusation to be making without any evidence.

Also, the fact that no mention whatsoever was made about us securing a play-off place is an absolute joke. That show is so shoddy.
