Don't normally like the guy - but he says some nice things about us in this article...

Can Brighton survive the step up a division?

I think they have the best guy to do that in Mark McGhee.

But until whoever is responsible for giving permission for their new stadium get off their backsides and give the okay, I can't see anything other than them struggling at this level on the crowds that Brighton can only have at the Withdean.

They are a super club and super fans and really do deserve better.

I have always had a soft spot for Brighton since my days at Notts County when we beat them to go into the top flight.

That defeat sent Brighton tumbling to almost extinction and you've got to admire people like Dick Knight for hanging in there, and the sooner the new stadium is given the go-ahead the better.

Warnock is a winner, would have been more than happy to have seen him as an Albion manager in the dark days. One of those guys you love to hate but would love if he was at your club.

I can agree with that sentiment. He is a football fan which is why he is so passionate.

Warnock for England!!!!

The funny thing is...I think I'd prefer him to the Swedish Swordsman!

Blimey bit of a turn around for Warnock to say that.

To be fair Warnock stood up for us when Prosser was causing his problems.
His quotes were only shown on Look North in Yorkshire though and not down here.

I seem to remember Warnock had quite a pop at us and agreed with Prosser that we were being racist towards one of their players. Can't remember the name now. Maybe I'm thinking of someone/something else??

I don’t mind Warnock and it is good to see people with a passion for the game doing well.

In terms of the Prosser thing, I may be wrong, but I thought either Warnock, Asaba or both came out and said they did not hear anything racist.

Anyhow, in terms of the BBC column it is a good read and good to see his positive comments on the Albion.

He used to manage Plymouth and following Sturrock going to Saints, he was heavily linked with a return on the local news. I think he still has a house in the West Country too.

Neil Warnock did stick up for us and as Trigger said so did Peter Ndlovu.
That was on the day but two days later on Look North he spoke out and really stood up for us.

He went up 100% in my estimation then.
