Someone I know very well (and I don't want to identify them) was working recently in an outer London hospital.

There was great excitement amongst the doctors one day - they had had one of these "doctor I slipped in the shower and fell on a ... ".

The object in question, and I promise you this is true, was a butternut squash.

It took 4 doctors/nurses to remove it, which they managed without surgery... but took a lot of pushing and pulling!

Similarly, a nurse from the A&E dept in a hospital once informed me of a small, rubber wellington boot and a broken flourescent kitchen light bulb (not in the same instance).

Please tell me you weren't the patient?!
