I reckon to stand any chance we must get them out by 5.15 - they'de have a lead of 75-odd, 10 mins to get changed, 35 mins (9 overs?) to knock off the runs. It would be tight.

I don't think it's gonna happen...

Keep charging in Little Mo.

Another 50 wickets and you'll nearly be at your target of 80 for the season.

if we don't knock 'em over in the next ten minutes we're gonna have to settle for a draw.

2nd place very much up for grabs and if it pisses down for the rest of the season we're guaranteed 3rd.

Attention switching to the one day game for a bit, Notts have made the most of the games in hand.It looks like those last 12 balls the other week might have cost us promotion but we're in with a shout.

2nd in the CC and promotion would make for another fantastic season for Sussex.

........and there's a chance that we could send Surrey down in the last game!!!

Bring it on.

So much better than football

The sodding rain has handed bloody Warwickshire the title. That, and our inept batting this season...

Didn't the weather help Sussex last season in a similar way? Had Lancs had better weather wouldn't they have won the title?

Just asking 'cos I'm not a big cricket fan but I recall hearing something along those lines last season...

Someone (some statto) did some research on this and worked out that, with the overs lost to rain, Lancashire effectively lost the same amount of overs and time to the weather as Sussex. So thier argument ended up being total bollocks. Can't remember the figures (f*** it, it's 1am and I can only just remember my name), but they didn't stand up to scrutiny.

So f*** 'em.

f*** em indeed.

f*** Kent, f*** Lancs, f*** Surrey.

We won the title fair and square through a lot of hard work by everyone involved with the club.

Big up Moores, Adams, Goodwin, Mushy, Chucker et al.

Let's just hope Umer was there watching.

SCCC xx

We deserved that, ain't nobody taking it away from us.

That was me who quoted that. I think the argument was that Lancs did lose more overs to rain than Sussex but the overs lost had little bearing on the result. Sussex were hit by rain in two matches where they were on top - the same as Lancs.
