You can all make your cheap jibes, painting all members of The Met with the same brush, but there are plenty of officers who don’t think for a moment for their own safety to do the job of protecting others, and are quite prepared to put themselves in danger.

And there you go, dismiss the work of over 40,000 officers and staff with one sensationalised report.

I worked for The Met for just over 7 years, until 2014 and don't recognise the overall description of the Force (Service) in that report.

Top brass may have been covering, like they always do to protect themselves (see our current Government per example), but that doesn't make the rank and file corrupt...
