My best recollection of playing Walsall was when a game was postponed due to snow late 70s/early 80s and played 24 hours later. About 10 of us were in the pub opposite their old ground havng a meal after watching the match before most going home, me back to The Grand in Birmingham where I was working, and Brian Clough came in saw us and picked up the food bills for all of us.
