2 inches of snow in Wolverhampton last night (about 6 miles away as the crow flies). Not looking good.

By the seaside in West Somerset
been snowing across the midlands since the early morning......not heavy but it is accumulating - now around 2" and the ground is frozen solid underneath with no hope of getting to it to do any work to improve it

afraid it does not look at all promising for Saturday :annoyed:

Seeing as I am missing the Villa game I will do my utmost to be there and if it is off will see Wolverhampton host Wigan in the Premier League.

A lot better, it feels a lot warmer, so there could be a bit of a thaw. If there isn't a substantial thaw by the end of today, I doubt it'll go ahead.

The only issue with heavy rain and the amount of snow thawing is it may then waterlog the pitch.

Well, Crodo (and the others that want to see Wolves in the event of a postponement).

I can assure you that the wolves groundstaff have been working around the clock to clear access around that stadium. They deserve medals. Wolves have sold out most games this season - so it may be worth a ring to check ticket availability before you jump on the train from Brum.

EDIT - Oh, and the best bit about Molineux is the Withdean style tempoary seating they have put in the corner between the South Bank and the Billy Wright stand - it makes me feel right at home. It has green seats and everything

This game may be on, it all depends on when they lift the snow off, whether or not the pitch is frozen. The roads are all clear around the ground and the motorways in the midlands, so it really all depends on the pitch.

.

I am visiting friends and going to the Wolves game. Can you tell me if there is a local radio station that broadcasts the live Walsall commentary?
