Who in their right mind would go to Walsall, it's like Luton but with more pollution.

God the season is not even over, we do not know for sure which league we will be in next season and already we are talking about who is going in the summer.

So - how much are they offering? The whole of Walsall? (or should that be the hole of Walsall?); probably not enough.........................................

DK's offer of fifty quid a week should have him tearing up trees to stay here!

What just like Bas savage was offered one?

'bloody dick knight' is what he said to a fellow nsc user here

bas savage was offered a deal, they offered him what they thought he was worth, he (or his agent)held out for more and got told to piss off. If we agreed to pay every player what they wanted we'd go to the wall.

If you were born and bred in Birmingham I think that you would disagree. I dont like it but I wasnt brought up in that area. His choice, if he leaves, appears to be Walsall or Bristol, not a very good choice, not sure which is the best probably Bristol slightly.

Decent little club. One does not have to live in Walsall and it is close to his beloved Aston Villa. There are some jolly nice parts to the Black Country. I would imagine he would be offered a similar sort of deal and the cost of living would be reduced.

I dont think that Walsall are interested in Whingy as the rumour may have emanated on NSC. I commented that a scout had been speaking to Russ & Dabbzy on the train and because Dabbzy is at Warwick Uni they travelled down to the MK Dons match from the Midlands. I gave Bens Grandad enough info in a clue for him to suss out which League 1 club the scout was linked to. Presumably this is the same guy who spoke to Mendoza in the pub which substantiates that this League 1 club are very interested in signing Whingy if we dont offer him a new contract.

I think we were up against Walsall when he first signed for us, SoG.

I do not buy this 'he will sign a contract if we offer him one'. Yes, he appears to bleed blue and white when playing, but everyone has their price.

It was reported in one of the 'red tops' some time just after the Jan window that Walsall were interested but would make a move in the summer when he is out of contract rather than pay for him during January. Just think buy him in January £50k sign him in the summer and give him £25k signing on fee, only 1 loser us.

It was reported in a Coventry local rag that both Walsall and Bristol Rovers were after him, I get a feeling that he'll stay with us if we stay up and he is offered a new deal, I know that they could probably offer a sweeter deal on the plate with him being able to live back home but he seems to be enjoying himself down here and if he wins player of the season know how much the fans like him too.

His choice, innit. It would be a shame to lose him, but that's football at our level. It's very expensive living in Brighton, I would assume he has family up north and maybe the Walsall move will better suit his ability to go see Aston Villa when he can. It's his life, I'd like him to stay and think he can achieve alot with us, but I can understand why he'd be tempted to move. Good luck to him, I say. Hopefully still here next season but nevermind if he's not.

I suspect some of the bullshit rumours we read in the papers are fed to the journos by football agents who are keen to increase their commssion fees when contracts are up for renewal as in the Cashley Cole saga.
