I don't think a modern day professional would even know what a bus was!

I remember about 20 odd years ago, a Scandinavian (I think) footballer playing for Spurs or Arsenal caused a bit of a stir when he admitted that he went to training by public transport. But that was unusual enough to be noted in the mid-90s, it would be impossible now

As a young boy I was amazed when Wally got on the same bus as me going to the Goldstone with his kit (I always went about 3 hours early).

I wonder what I did with my autograph book from all those decades ago?? Wally would have been in there, along with Jimmy Collins, Kit Napier, Brian Powney, Jonnie Goodchild...maybe even Bobby Smith!! ho hum. Happy days spent watching them train then q'g for autographs. Nice!
