I'm thinking about walking from the Goldstone to the Amex via Withdean for the 1st home game to make it and extra, extra special day. I know others are thinking about doing the same but I haven't heard any plans.

It's just over 7 miles so it will take appox 2 1/2 hours to walk.
Add in some refreshment stops (perhaps 4 at 1/2 an hour each) = 2 hours
Aim to arrive at the Amex about 1400 hrs so that means starting at 0930 hrs.

I was thinking for the pubs on the way; The Station Hotel, Withdean, Hikers Rest, The Swan?

Any better suggestions?

I think there's a fair few planning that, and good luck to you all.

If I did it, I doubt if I'd be able to make it up the final 5 flights of stairs at Falmer to my seat.

I'm guessing by that route you're going over the hill and across Ditchling Road, right?

In the unlikely event that I'm lucky enough to get a ticket I'd like to join you. I have managed to never go past the Goldstone Retail Park in all these years, last time I was there was for the Doncaster game.

Me too but hoping to go over Dyke Rd, past Withers, Carden Ave & Coldean lane.
