Why would their fans be worried. Even without Ronaldo and no new signings they are still a miles better team than arsenal and liverpool. Ronaldo leaving just leaves the door open for Rooney to take the main attacking role. Arsenal need about 5 top players to be a force again, but half the team want out, even the captain has been slagging the club off in the press

Whether you like him or not, Ronaldo is a class above anytihng United has. They rely on him for goals, and unless replaced, will not be a threat next season.

No way are we 5 top players short.

We are a holding midfielder short, and perhaps right winger (If Walcott fails to again show his obvious potential)

It is nothing to do with his age, more to do with him being unable to stay regular fit now for years.

I mean I am perhaps being premature, and they are lining up a new striker with Owen just being back up. But if he is big in Sir Alex's plans, they can think twice about regaining their title:lolol:

He hasnt been given a decent run in a first team for several years either has he, similar to Beckham, but once he dusted off his boots he showed us all he is still a damn good player and im sure Owen will do the same.

They hardly depended on him for goals last season but still walked away with the title

the only joke is that Arsenal think they will stay in the top four next May, only avoided embaressment by Villa choking last season and Man City wont make that mistake.

I still don't know why you are laughing at the fact United have got Owen, i think that is quite a good little bit of business they have done there, as he is free and is always going to score goals, especially with players like Rooney setting up with 5 one on ones a game.
I think that he will be far better and more prolific, than Adebayor for example, so again, not sure why you are laughing.
would you have been laughing if arsenal had signed him?

Yes but this is a football messaging board, I can talk about the team I support if i wish.

This is primarily a message board for Brighton and Hove Albion, not general football talk.

:lolol: I f***ing love watching deluded Arsenal fans cream over how great they are. For all the fancy flicks and pretty football in the world, you are still a shower of shite compared to Man Utd, even post Ronaldo. You are a million miles away from being good enough to win the league. Just face it - Wenger's lost the plot, how long since you won a trophy now?

Ooh ooh, but I forgot, you signed the AJAX captain. I'm sure the whole Premiership is shitting themselves.

And please don't tell me you're from Brighton. Absolute f***ing disgrace to football, supporting that bunch of whinging, French pansies over your local team. Now f*** off back to the hole you crawled out of

We all know Owen is a class act. But he is a complete crock.

No, only score more than any one else in their team (and from midfield)

the only joke is that Arsenal think they will stay in the top four next May, only avoided embaressment by Villa choking last season and Man City wont make that mistake.

Don't be think. No way will we not finsih top 4.

He is very good. Captain of Ajax at 23 is some going...

We have Adebayor, Arshavin, Van Persie, Eduardo, Bendtner. Hardly struggling for attackign options?

Dont be think? eh?

now, i'll give you Arshavin who is quality and Van Persie too. but Adebayor is not the player of 2007/08 season and Bendtner scored fewer goals per game and only one more than in the League than Owen. Eduardo is a big question mark, might come back to form, might not. yeah, lots of attack, style and flair at Arsenal, but you said yourself you need a holding midfielder, unfortunatly no one is going to sell one cheap. then you'll actually need cover plus another decent centre back. face facts, if Villa hadnt fluff their lines Arsenal would already be out of top 4, at this rate nothing is going to chance that. they will struggle with Villa, Everton and of course Man City baring down on them.

He broke his metatarsal because his foot was stamped on, he had a knee injury which Man Utd have checked and is now fine and a bit of trouble with his groin.

I think on a free transfer, Sir Alex is the only one who will be laughing. It's a no lose situation for him, if it doesn't work out he was a freebie; if he gets fit and on for he'll be quality.

As for Arsenal, they're far too young and even physically weak to be champions. You need to play hard and sometimes dirty to win the premiership.

Arsenal will again struggle to stay in the Top 4 until they start to spend money on the players with some serious leadership qualities!

I will put money on Rooney and Owen being formidable next year!
