WAKE - venue suggestions please B&H

Hello Wise-people of NSC,

Any suggestions for a wake venue in Brighton / hove area ?

Young man, (46) there will be a lot of people that will wish to attend - probably around - 150

thinking of putting on a hogroast for food etc

first week of september

any ideas greatfully revieved

not sure about a hog roast but we had my dads at the Hove Club.

Hollingbury Golf club is pretty good and should hold something of that size.

There is a bar downstairs so won't get crashed by golfers.

Have you thought about The Albion in Church Road Hove (Opposite Hove Town Hall)
A good sized bar and a BBQ on the patio. We had a friend's wake there a few years ago with about 200 attending.
Worked out well.

Try the Ladies Mile. Has large bar area or separate function room. Good car parking and they run a bus to Albion home matches

Don't know what your budget is but a hog roast for 150 people wont leave you much change out of a grand

Used them recently for a 70th Birthday. Local company and did a great job.

Reckon you would be talking £800 for 150 people but that includes all cooking, serving, plates, sauces etc.
