......stadium. Have bought the Co op store, who have off loaded after the Britannia failure. Will close for March next year then open as Waitrose in April.

That store has always been a guaranteed stress free place to do your weekly, as its pretty empty. Hope it stays as quiet when it becomes waitrose.
I'd imagine its gonna be busy though given that the Hove Park area is the perfect catchment for it.

I see Waitrose have bought a selection of Co-Op stores, including the Hove one as well as stores in Devon, Edenbridge and Leek.

It's rather nice to see a co-operative taken over by a partnership rather than being consumed by one of the big boys to pay the salaries and bonuses of fat cat executives.

And frankly the Co-Op food stores are all terrible, even if they are ethically and morally commendable

Oddly this has happened just as The Dogs has gone to Waitrose. Crevettes and pork belly on the menu? What happened to school dinners?
