I bet he flipping does.

On a serious note, I would guess (and that's all it would be) that our top earners, of whom I believe Kuipers is one, would be on somewhere around 4 or 5 grand a week.

no chance that is a hell of a lot of money per annum, would halve it and might be closer they are only league 1 players

what pisses me off about Kuipers, even though I think he is a good goalkeeper, is why does he think he has a right to park on double yellows when out and about in H/H? Everytime I have seen him, he parks his car where ever he pleases. Must think he is a god of some sort.

If the speculation that he is paid £3500 a week is correct then I would imagine he parks on double yellows because the cost of a parking ticket would be an inconsequential amount for him to pay and therefore he is quite happy to risk receiving a fine.

I read yesterday that the average wage for a premiership player is 20k a week. I actually thought it was higher than that. How the hell do they manage on only 1 million a year ?
I reckon the average for our division is about 2k.

....but do the traffic wardens agree?

Whenever he was parked on the yellows outside Reds on Western Road, there was no chance of me ticking him! He had Dean Cox sat in the car once aswell. For not giving the big man a ticket, he shook my hand on more than once!

Michel deserves atleast £3,000 per week. He is so much better than some of the idiots on here seem to realise, it really is beggars belief.

Our highest payed player last season was Chris Birchall earning £9,500 plus appearance fees up to £2K depending on how long he was on the pitch for.

Before anyone asks I know his financial adviser person at Haywards Heath when he was down here. He wanted to deposit £2,500 and quoted "I earn almost four times as that."
If you still don't believe she works over at Haywards Heath in a bank by the park.

We had a wage bill of £3.1million last season according to the accounts. Proably a third of that goes to management and administrative staff, so it leaves £2million for the players and coaches, or £38,000 a week to cover them all.

Some of the players had good contracts from the Championship days, but they have all expired now, so I would expect most first team players to be on £50-60k a year before bonuses, and fringe players on about half that. There will be the odd exception though, such as Murray, Forster and Virgo, due to coming from a higher level or part of the transfer fee.

Thinking about the incoming moneys - a home match at Withdean possibly pulls in around £100,000 at the gate (averaging 5,000 fans at £20 a head). Ten home games to get to a £1,000,000, and there are around 25 home fixtures in a season so 2.5mil before deductions of wages, taxes, ground fee, policing and utilities.

I just hope the club shop is bringing in something, and perhaps a smattering of television rights too. It looks like a tight budget there, to me. So....who can we sell?

Fuller at Stoke was on 10k a week last season!

Foregone conclusion.

Me, Former Insurance Broker and giving him about 13 years, him a Former Dutch Marine. The only thing we have in common is that I cook!!!!!

If there's anyone thinking of taking a pop at him of the basis that he was a chef, not a marine, I STRONGLY advise them to check out the FACTS first.

The Sun news paper reported after our win after Man City, that our highest paid play was none other that Adam Virgo, who is on £150,000 a year - about the same as what Robinho earns per week.
