Does anyone on NSC have experience of the Beach, Coast, Ocean or Grand camper vans? With holidays abroad looking hard work and the desire for more get away weekends would be interested to here thoughts of those who’ve had one or have one. Thanks

I hadn't spotted that one. Yes please

My father in law recently bought a brand new one of those from a long established specialist firm in Surrey. Very expensive btw (obviously, in this motorhome boom), but no doubt there are second hand examples.

It's beautifully engineered and provides spacious, luxury travelling. They love it.

They took their time and did a load of shopping around. What they liked was that the manufacturer/retailer listened to their needs, not imposing someone else's narrow view.

Thanks. It was becoming a bit of a no brainer (as long as i dont dwell about the cost) but I’ve hit one hurdle. My area of London goes to an ultra low emission zone in October which i think rules this out.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Don't buy an old vintage VW one.

Neighbour did and bitterly regretted it. All loaded up and ready to go for their first trip away, it wouldn't start and when it finally juddered into some form of life it promptly broke down terminally some 20 yards down the road.

It took him another two years to find somebody gullible enough to buy it off him at a significant loss.
