Why isn't this a poll? Sod it, I'll do one. I haven't seen a game all season, so I voted Chippy as he's been consistent for a number of years & deserves recognition

Butters has been our best defender this year, most improved player, and I believe best player overall (just!!)... we would not be top six right now without Leon... Danny good as ever... bubbling under = Chippy, but I can't help feeling he has shone in a pool of generally poor midfielders...

1. Butters, from the brink of being sold on Ebay to potential POTS.
2. Knight, 26 goals. Fair enough.
3. Carpenter, Mr Consistent, without having the help of previous years.

Butters - solid as a rock. I slagged him off after the Barnet friendly and never have I been so happy to have been proved wrong.

Knight - can't ignore 26 goals, and penalties can be missed. All in spite of a 'semi' long ball game that does not suit him

Carpenter- the engine room in an uninspiring midfield.

The only other candidate would be Cullip
