This needs to stop, surely.

The ICC needs to step in and say enough.

It’s going to turn people off cricket - why would you buy tickets for the later Sussex games? Why did Sussex agree to it?

It’s terrible news for Sussex. No surprises we haven’t heard much about this. Wright and Mills are within their right to these (presumably) lucrative short-term contracts. They are white-ball specialists now. Sussex will have the final say as they’re under contract, but why upset the players? No doubt the ECB are not pleased with this timing. The ICC should put measures in place to stop these franchise formats from clashing, and more needs to be done to promote red ball cricket.

I agree. Too many franchise formats. Good for TV fat cats. Awful for proper cricket fans.

Thank goodness this wasn't a home game. We can I'll afford to lose the revenue.

As a Sussex supporter, losing players to these T20 tournaments (and by the way both Semi Finals of the Euro T20 Slam are scheduled for the same day as the Vitality Blast Finals Day at Edgbaston) seriously makes me question the value in buying a season ticket.

How on earth could that let that happen?!

Different organisations. We see many different competitions over the word. Now Ireland, Scotland and the Netherlands want a slice of the pie.

Why have counties allowed their players to leave for that franchise competition should be the question. Money talks, but I would’ve liked the ECB to support the counties and prevent the players leaving.

Looking at the 6 teams for this euro trash event, Sussex are not the only country loosing players. But are the most affected in my opinion.

I have no idea what's going on anymore- what type of cricket we're playing next, who is and isn't available.
It's utter nonsense.

Cracking result for the lads, win the toss and pinch a point without even getting out of the pavilion.

Agreed. Not knowing which players are available or likely to play is rubbish. Is a real turn off for people who like getting behind their “team”.
