Just got a new Dell with Vista etc.. was previously able to upload videos to YouTube with no probs, but the process is now not working - any ideas? Would it even be a Vista issue?

On/Off button applied with no joy.

Most likely not. Which internet browser are you using? Make sure you are updated to the latest version of your browser and try again

I have Vista and have no problems downloading from You Tube. However I use Firefox rather than IE7 which I find too slow.

I have Vista and have no problems downloading from You Tube. However I use Firefox rather than IE7 which I find too slow.

What he said. You tube needs Macromedia flashplayer 7.0 + plug -in.

I get that comment from pretty much EVERYONE I know!

As for YouTube. I've only been running Vista for the last week, but it's worked fine for me so far. In fact my new computer loads the videos up much faster than anything else I've used.

Not everything about Vista is bad. If you buy a PC with it on and any applications you transfer from XP are compatible then yes, it's quicker and smoother (once it's finished loading).

The big problem with Vista is the fact that so many things don't work with it and frankly I can't see many organisations wanting to migrate. This laptop I'm using now is a pretty powerful one and Vista runs beautifully on it. This oddly enough is a maketing company and they have no Macs which is a bit unusual. All graphics are done on PC.

That is odd seeing as most people have PCs.

I think in younger people that is definitely starting to shift.

I'll readily admit this is partly because Macs are marketed as being much "cooler" than a PC. Which they are.

Says a man who gave a furious rant against Macs the other day. I have NO problem with PCs or PC users.

I think it's obvious who looks the more insecure.

Like I said previously, I own 2 Macs, an Ipod (have owned 3 in my time), and an iPhone, and I have NEVER been disappointed by any of them. Not once.

Each to their own, for example for gaming yes, go for a PC (out of the two).
