BLADE RUNNER VIRGO
Warnock set to throw Celts star Premiership lifeline
By Colin Duncan
CELTIC misfit Adam Virgo looks to be heading out of Parkhead with Sheffield United keen to throw him a Premiership lifeline.

The defender has failed to impress following his £1.5million switch from Brighton last summer.

Virgo started just three SPL games last season and made a handful of substitute appearances as a makeshift striker.

But the 23-year-old could now be handed a shock chance to resurrect his career in the Premiership next season with newly-promoted United.

Blades boss Neil Warnock was interested in signing Virgo when he left Brighton 12 months ago and has been monitoring his situation at Parkhead.

Celtic will not stand in Virgo's way and are willing to listen to offers. United value him at £500,000.

Virgo should talk to Danny Cullip before he signs anything. That Warnock is a total wanker. Cullip marked Henry out of the game in the F.A cup and then was totally dropped from the squad. That bloke is a prick and his his wifes a xxxx too. :censored: rant over

Nothing more than paper speculation at the moment

The deal is going through, although Reading may manage to get in at the last minute to secure his services.

Yeah, because Steve Coppell really did wonders for Adam Virgo's career, didn't he

You think that the Blunts are a step

They are, I believe, a step up from some other Yorkshire clubs.

Next season will really hurt, when you're competing on level terms with those other Yorkshire giants, Barnsley.

*sighs*

I can hardly be bothered to say it.

But this Mickey Mouse team beat you convincingly this season, and Leeds took a distinctly Mickey Mouse one point off us.

In fact, if you weren't so crap at beating so called Mickey Mouse teams, you might have finished high enough to avoid the play offs. But I guess your players are too big-time to bother when they have to play the likes of us eh?

The result doesn't matter.

That was the point i was trying to make.

Only Man Utd, Liverpool and Arsenal are bigger than Celtic.
