Virgo is not a central midfielder so you replace him simple. Let Thomson do his natural game don't ask him to be a box to box player and you will see a far better player

If you actually WATCH Thomson..............what he does is this.......simple 3 yard pass to Albion teammate...........then..........he runs........not into space for a return..............but to the nearest opposing player...........so he,s effectively marked out of the game. He does this time and time again.............watch on Wednesday and you,ll see.

IMHO...........the biggest coward and SHIRKER, I have ever seen put on an Albion shirt.

In all honesty, I thought Virgo made some decent passes yesterday and spread the ball well. That said, with Murray's virtually non-existent contribution, I would be tempted to push Virgo up front and give him licence to make his presence felt and hold the ball up (like Ricketts did so effectively for Warsaw). Thomson has had long enough to prove himself and has to be classed as a real disappointment. He possesses neither the guile to open up a defence, nor the Charlie/Chippy-style tenacity to dominate posession.

So I would move Virgo and drop Thomson. The question is, does Livermore and Fraser offer something better? From what I have seen so far, I doubt it. We badly need a new injection of talent in central midfield. If we can't bring anyone in, may be shifting Cox into a more central role might be an option. He certainly didn't look like a winger yesterday.....

Agree with all of this aside from the Virgo bit....I watched him yesterday and he covered a lot of ground...made defensive tackles as well as tried to work with that useless piece of crap Thompson.

Hart is ok, Robinson more inventive and Cox was a Cox. No-one ever seems to want to sub Cox despite the fact he is sometime completely shit.

Murray tries, but the balls to him are complete shit.....it's the midfield, we have a small jock who is crap, a new signing that doesn't get a start now because he is crap, and Hart a converted striker and Cox...as I say.

Personally, I would have played El_Abd in midfield, Virgo in centre defence, Loft instead of Thompson, and Dixon instead of Forster, who wasn't fit.

So Wed:

Kuipers
Wing, Elphick, Lynch (if fit), Richards
Robinson, Virgo, El Abd, Joe Anyinsah
Murray, Forster

Bench
Dixon, Loft, Cox, Fraser, Sullivan

That's all......

I would even consider giving Cox a run in the middle with a free roll. Then go for Hawkins, Elphick and Lynch at the back. keep the wingers, have livermore central mid, Virgo to sit in front of the back four. Then your wingers, take a pick, richards and whing if you want to be defensive. Or Mcleod, New boy or Robinson if wanting to play attacking style.
