my point was that people often confuse players that genuinly support the club they play for(there are many around) and those which simply have a desire to win

as virgo does not support the albion he is simply a winner

not knocking him as a player, as i admire him greatly, just picking up on another post

You can't sell the core of the team, Virg's is part of that core.
Yes I know DC was too, but no-one could deny his wish to move on after the service he gave the club.

If Virg's WANTS to move, that's different. But to sell him would cost us in the long term. He is our future captain & he's already an Albion ledge!!

I think you're missing the point a bit - Charlie is also famously a supporter of a London club but he has become as good as Albion "through and through". Charlie will get a new contract and has stated his desire to stay with us in some other capacity even after his playing days have finished - that's loyalty and affection for the club. His gesture of support for John Piercy was typical of the man.

No one knows for sure, of course, but people sense the same thing about Virgs, he's a local lad, he came up through the youth system, he didn't piss around signing his long contract with us and has stated often what playing for the Albion means to him. He is Albion through and through.
