Yep, not only do we have Dan Harding as an u21 international, apparently Virgo has just been called up to the Scotland Future squad to play against Germany. Poor guy...

Don't think so, because don't think it counts as a proper international, it's like playing for the u21s i believe. Still, the traumatic experience might scar him for life

From the BBC:

In-form players get Scotland call

Hartley has been impressive for Hearts this season
Scotland caretaker manager Tommy Burns has rewarded a number of in-form players with a call-up to the Future squad to face Germany on 7 December.
Rangers' Bob Malcolm, Paul Hartley of Hearts and the Motherwell pair of Steven Hammell and Martyn Corrigan have all been included.

Brighton's Adam Virgo is joined by the Aberdeen trio of Zander Diamond, Kevin McNaughton and Russell Anderson.

Scotland play the Germans in the first game of the Future Cup in Mannheim.

The team will be jointly coached by Burns and under-21 manager Rainer Bonhof.

A number of the squad are promoted from Bonhof's under-21 squad.

Blackburn Rovers striker Paul Gallagher, Rangers' reserve keeper Allan McGregor, Dundee United's Mark Wilson and Hibernian striker Garry O'Connor all make the step up.

In all fairness I do not think Virgo needs to worry about whether this ties him to Scotland for his entire career. Can anyone seriously see him getting an England call up ever?

It's the Future squad - kind of in between a the u21 and full squad, so the new boss - probably walter smith - can have a look at some players. Should be called Scotland B squad but i think they thought Future sounded better - it suggests the Scotland side has one.

Since when can you re-declare?

Once you start, your stuck has been what every single commentator has ever said. I can't be arsed checking the FIFA rules though.

You do have to start, or at least come on as a sub though. Clinton Morrison was even in the England U-21 squad, but he still plays for Ireland - he never came onto the pitch for England.

If you play in a FULL international you cannot change. B games and Under 21 games do not count.

Kanoute played for France Under21s and now plays for Mali.
