Sorry i cant help. I have rarely come across worst customer service than with Virgin Media. Absolutely risible.

I ind them very helpful a few weeks ago wait time 2 mins and very efficient .

I know it's not a popular opinion but I've been with VM since they were Cable and Wireless (I think) and NTL, never had a problem with them. Any issues have been dealt with quickly and efficiently. Not cheap though. Just done the free upgrade to their 360 service and that all worked well.

I've been offered the 360 but not looked into it...in typical VM style, details seem hard to find/too vague. Two main questions - what's the advantage of upgrading, and do you lose what you currently have on your Tivo box?

Yes you do lose everything on your Tivo box which is a right old nuisance. I think this was the only way to get the extra Sky Sports channels to watch some of the Championship. It's a bit better tech, there's a microphone on the remotes if you want to be really lazy and, of you have extra boxes they are all linked together so will all have the same saved shows etc. But to be honest, it's not a major improvement although I only received the new remotes a couple of days ago.

Thanks @Deadly Danson - appreciate the info. We've only got one box so that benefit wouldn't help us. I had a feeling that there would be the loss of the Tivo recordings which would be a right pain for us at the moment, so we'll leave it.

FWIW we've been with the cable franchise since they started - NYNEX, C&W, NTL, etc... and the only issues we've really had is the occasional need to negotiate a new contract when our loyalty bonus has expired due to us being loyal!
