It's great to see that team again. Compared to those fans who have started following the Albion in the last couple of decades, I can't believe how lucky us older ones were to see the period 76 - 83 and some of the great players that wore the blue and white (not always stripes) of the Albion.

Hopefully we will see the like of it again.

You can, on Seagulls TV! :p

Fantastic, g-r. I was there, although couldn't remember much of this. Didn't we win 4 on the bounce to stay up, I think one was an epic victory at Sunderland, quite the day out that was. Good to hear Brian Moore too, takes me way back.

Yes, this was the first of our run of four consecutive victories. The final match, a 2-0 win against Leeds, was also televised. Can't find it, though.

:p to you to. I wasn't after access to video of that period, I was suggesting that it would be good to see the Albion in the top flight again with some great players in the blue and white.

I know! I was deliberately misunderstanding what you meant.

Video of the previous golden era is certainly no substitute for watching Albion in the top flight in the flesh. It would be marvellous if we ever made it back up again!

Wasn`t that the start of the run for the ''Team of the Eighties'' ?
To be fair no one said what division they were going to be in :lolol:

Looking at that Brighton team I would have to say that it was as good a side as we have ever had really. How quite we struggled at the bottom is beyond me. Next season was our highest finish wasn`t it with the chance of European football with a month to go.

Where were the Brighton fans that day as I cant remember.I know we were in the corner between the Arthur Waites and the Holmesdale for the 'Penalty game' and other times down the supermarket end but this one escapes me.

Kelvin Morton was ref that day.
Worst. Ref. Ever.
But not that day.

I was there that day as well. When we were standing outside before the game an old Palace bloke came up to us and called us scum. Nice.

And then during the game, whenever a Palace player fell over in the box, Morton gave a frickin pen. Bastard.
