As promised earlier today, I have unearthed a gem of a video clip for all you Albion and Palace fans here on NSC. Footage of games between our clubs during the late 1970s and early 1980s, when the rivalry was at its greatest, is very rare and hard to track down. So it is with great excitement that I can introduce you to this
http://www.viddler.com/explore/seagullstv/videos/20/

Enjoy!

What a great result on the day. I hope it brings back lots of memories

For more vintage Albion clips, please visit the Seagulls TV website I've put together at Seagulls TV - Relive the Glory Years of 1976-83

Also, I'm always, always on the lookout for more footage. If anyone can help, please let me know. In connection with Seagulls TV, if anyone has a contact number for Andy Rollings or Gary Williams, please PM me.

Nice to see Selhurst looking so pristine :laugh: not much changed then

Brian Moore said here come "Crystal Palace Already Relegated " - what a great name

Also liked the reception Mullers got from the home scum when running round to Digweed.

Mullers = Albion Legend :thumbsup:

Fantastic, g-r. I was there, although couldn't remember much of this. Didn't we win 4 on the bounce to stay up, I think one was an epic victory at Sunderland, quite the day out that was. Good to hear Brian Moore too, takes me way back.

Mmmm. Those 'experimental' linesman flags. I wonder how long they lasted.

I see you didn't include Ramsey in that list! :laugh:

You're right. We had a very strong squad, more accomplished and experienced than that of 1979/80. It seems odd how we struggled that season.

Even though Ramsey was decent enough, you cant put him in the same class as those others i listed, only being 11 that year i cant recall why we struggled in the league with that quality.

It's great to see that team again. Compared to those fans who have started following the Albion in the last couple of decades, I can't believe how lucky us older ones were to see the period 76 - 83 and some of the great players that wore the blue and white (not always stripes) of the Albion.

Hopefully we will see the like of it again.
