Vincente, Hoskins... have they been sighted

I heard Vicente did his hamstring while running the line against Southampton.

I can confirm, as it happened in front of where I was sitting, that Vicente did have a slight Hamstring twinge whilst warming up but once he realised that it was nothing serious, carried on warming up and by the stretching he was doing it looked as if he was perfectly ok. We'll just have to wait till Saturday.

I saw Vicente doing a workout at Gym yesterday. Stretching etc. Obviously impossible to know extent of any injury. Would love to see him Saturday though and I am sure he would love to play himself. Must be so frustrating to be held back by a niggle. I am still very hopeful he could come back this season and make a huge difference to us. Also isn't Dicker suppose to be back in training soon?

err.. but you just.. never mind.

I think his record at Bristol Rovers is evidence enough. He created his own chances at a struggling team and still got a hatful of goals despite them being relegated.

I think he is quality.

What he did at Bristol Rovers is irrelevant to the question. The original post said from what WE have seen, with WE meaning Albion. And other than the goal at Cardiff he hasn't done it. Perhaps injuries and a lack of a decent run of games have not helped. I was so excited at Millwall to see him start, but he did nothing. Same at Derby. I hope he gets back to full fitness and has a run of games to get his form back he had at Rovers, but at this point I am not convinced.

There is certainly something inherently annoying about a signing who tweets more than he plays.

I'm not sure I could cope with Vicente getting in on the Twitter act right now. 'Physio still scratching his head, but the good news is I've been for another great tapas meal....'

just out of interest, what about Hoskins play have you seen that makes you feel he is quality?

The link up play with CMS in the pre season friendly against Burgess Hill and his play in Portugal prior to getting injured. I am sure that when fit he will be the man to bring the best out of CMS in the manner that many are suggesting George Boyd would, this plus a fit Vicente pushing balls through the back four for CMS to run onto should, if they are both fit, bring an exciting 2nd half to the season.

It's about time we got some luck with these bloody injuries. It will be absolutely brilliant to see Vicente and Hoskins on Saturday. The couple of times I saw Vicente he was bloody brilliant. The way he took the ball past the players with ease was absolute class. Not seen Hoskins properly, but again a brilliant player who has not had a proper chance due to injury. Must be so frustrating for him.

totaly agree with this

He was getting ready to come on against Southampton until Greer got sent off. So I doubt very much that he do e his hamstring.

I agree with you about Hoskins and to me, that is the more frustrating of the two players who have had injuries. Vicente has always been a gamble but Hoskins hadn't had any previous history. I saw him preseason in the games mentioned and at Cardiff. He made a great partner for CMS and we would have scored far more goals imo, had he remained injury free.

A tapas meal which, no doubt, consisted of Crock-uetas, Patatas not particularly Bravas, Gambas A La Stretcha and Ribs Negrito.
