I wonder if this one was always on the table if Spurs got Llorente. Naylor cimments about Hemed suggest we were seriously considering signing two new strikers and letting Hemed go. Anyone know what the Reading offer was for Hemed?

So just read the rule book :)

Can sign a third player on loan if another is currently registered but suffering from a long term injury. The one injured obviously has to go back.

Otherwise this has got to be an attempt as a permanent and undoubtedly blows wage bill out the window.

Quite a few reports seem to put Janssen's wage when he signed for spurs at around 25-30,0000 per week, so we might not have to smash the wage bill as much as you'd think if that's the case...

Look at the videos of his season before last. Murray can't do most of that, and certainly not at this stage of his career! He's got a fantastic all round game, takes up great positions, great technique, natural goal scorer

Spurs fan here... I think there's a real good player in Janssen he's taken some time to adapt but he's looked good in pre-season. Even without scoring much for us he's been great with his hold-up play and if he can click into scoring form with a run of games like he did in Holland it could be a great signing.

Nice, but then again unless he likes the seaside I'd imagine his agent knows our situation.

Nope we need to sign some Cameroonian with a dodgy goal scoring record from the arse end of Ligue 1 because "pace" is more important than the ability to score goals apparently.

We can clearly cancel the Brown loan. Would be a shame for Izzy (and us!) but it's obvious a striker only available on loan would be a do or die needs-must scenario.

Or we buy him, which doesn't seem to be the preference for Spurs or their fans but is a possibility.

Would be well pleased with this signing. Just needs a run of games and build his confidence, hopefully goals will follow.
