Also, considering he was worth £17m last summer on the back of a 27 goal season in the Eeredivisie, how much would he have been worth in this year's market? Probably nearly twice that I'd suggest. If he regains form this could be a real coup.

Not really that exciting. Carbon copy of Murray. We need pace up front to stretch defenders, we're going to be spending a lot of this season in our own half, counter attack is crucial.

Wow he's nothing like Murray.

He's quick + strong. Ideal for prem. Needs run of games.

Not true. This from another website. Surely we can get this deal done therefore?!!!

If paperwork is submitted to the Premier League that shows an intention to sign a player, then clubs can be given an extra two years to complete the formalities - and Brighton hope to use that to their advantage with a move for Vincent Janssen. The Daily Mail report that Brighton want....

He's about the only striker id heard of who I thought would be perfect for us - season already in the PL so up to speed already. Never thought there was a chance and I do fear excessive wage demands may scupper this one but hope not.

He's nothing like Murray. Janssen doesn't pose the same aerial threat and won't bully defenders but he is skilful and has a lovely left foot.

He only made about 7 starts in the league. as he was 2nd / 3rd choice behind Kane and, later on, Son.

And the fact that the Spurs fans love him despite the absence of goals tells you something about his commitment, skill and passion, despite limited game time.

Don't be a tit nothing like a carbon copy of Murray. Movement off the ball is excellent more than just a hold up player is Janssen

People at this hour, complaining about us signing a Dutch international striker with prolific goal scoring form in Holland last year who will be champing at the bit to prove himself after not getting a fair crack of the whip at Spurs because..........

"He's not the pacey striker we need."

:facepalm

Some ****ing clueless dinlows on this board, there really are.

Haha... there will be no pleasing some people! To be fair I haven't checked the opposition, but Janssen has the better goalscoring record, period.

12 months ago he was the best striker in Holland. I think it's a big surprise he hasn't scored more this year, and with the confidence he'll get from being the main man with us he should really deliver this year.

CH a few years back + RvW

Vincent Petrus Anna Sebastiaan Janssen

Anna is apparently sometimes used as a male name in the Netherlands.

And even if it wasn't, at this stage in Albion's transfer window, it probably shouldn't be an automatic disqualifier.
