Vincelot is immeasurably better than Painter

Liverpool doesn't count then? Despite playing the full 90 minutes at left back against vastly superior opposition?

I don't think that is enough to judge a player. Give him a run of games then we will see. We played Cook at right back and he played very well. No one is saying replace Calderon with him.

He made some absolute shit mistakes late on. Although the whole team caved in and set up shop outside our 18 yard box for the last 25 minutes inviting pressure on ourselves for some reason.

The two aren't related though, are they? We haven't seen much of Vincelot at left back, but what we have seen has been more encouraging than what we've seen of Painter in my opinion.

The goal adds the gloss, but he's clearly too good to be sitting on our bench. If the only position in the team for him is at left back, then so be it. We have no-one better in that position than him.

Rubbish. He took his goal well but put us under serious pressure several times with very poor passes in the second half.

Say that if you will but Calderon's passing today was s*** awful and, much as I have time for GG, his misplaced pass set up the Coventry goal. Dunk didn't have a good passing day either.

Vincelot offers much more to the team than Painter.

he had a 5 man midfield in front of him against Liverpool.Ithink Vincelot is a good player and scored a good goal but wasn`t better defensively than Painter today, especially second half .

I think that Vincelot is the 3rd best left back at the club after Tarrico and Painter. He took his goal well but also gave the ball away a number of times with poor passes on his left foot which is his weakest. I would prefer him in midfield along beside of Bridcutt.
