It's dreadful. But is it some kind of anti-knife campaign like Arsenal did with an all white kit a couple of years ago at Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup third round?
150 years … something

I should probably qualify my last post. I can't stand Villa. I work in amongst Villa fans, we always lose to them yet I have a soft spot as the lads who support them are proper fans, go to the games and look at football the same way I do.

Logically, I've got no axe to grind with Potter but for some reason whenever his white toothed, beardy wanker face comes on screen I want to punch it.

Up the Villa

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than destroying them 6-0 when he comes to town.

West Ham... with or without Potter. And not so much of West Ham as because of Villa.

Not one for the neutrals is it?
Constant stop-start, Villa haven’t turned up and look thoroughly disinterested. West Ham no great shakes but are much better and should be a couple of goals up. They surely can’t be much worse in the second half

Arsenals just looked like an arab infused bleaching of attrocities type thing.

Villas looks more like a 1920's Utopian Brexit dream with a side of ricketts on TB sheets

It looks like 70's subbuteo from a distance

batteries in floodlights

drawing pins holding down goal posts

marvelous
My old Mum and Dad, never had much cash, both knew I was Subbuteo nuts they spent ages making me a raised table, about 18” high. He didn’t have a car. He was so clever in how he built it, mostly out of odds and ends he could get for free or next to nothing. We lived right at far end of Patcham so whenever he got some bits he literally had to lug them home underarm or on his back. The legs I remember were made out of wood similar to fencing arris rails. These were framed with some wood that I guess was similar to floor boards, they were second hand for sure as he spend night after night sanding them smooth and clean. The deck was made from chipboard, I haven’t a clue how he would have got sheet/s of that home.

When done he painted it and then glued the pitch onto the deck.

He even cobbled together some very simple and basic stands out of hardboard and my wonderful artistic Mum spend nights painting it to look like lots of little faces in a crowd. I dare say it wasn’t anywhere near what would be deemed acceptable in todays world, and probably nowhere near as perfect as I remember it 55 years on, but to me it was the best Subbuteo stadium anywhere in the world.

Bless you Mum and Dad.

EDIT . Things made out of love eh. The best you can ever have.
