Bozza my feedback is the reduced allocation feels OTT. Sure plenty others feel same. It’s kike the authorities are stuck in the last century whilst rest of us have well and truly moved on. Do they do this at other derbies? If so, perhaps we can break new ground again by showing you can have full capacity without serious incidents as I believe this game will be. Oh, and if this fixture occurs again, can we have it back on Saturdays please like other Derbies?

I take it there will be masses of blue netting over seats to separate them from our fans, so reducing the capacity of the ground?

If they are really that concerned only give the CPFC fans their tix when they are on a fleet of coaches that leave their stadium and drop them off at ours exactly 30 mins b4 ko, then keep em in 40 mins and heard them back to the coaches straight after and bus em out of town. 40 coaches should do it!

Only thing wrong with this idea, 40 Palace coach drivers, think of the toilet cleaners, please

As one of the "animals" at the St Patrick's Day fixture I don't remotely recognise this as being the case. Not saying that bad behaviour from a few hotheads didn't occur, pretty certain that the vast majority of fans were just fine.

And the treatment that you describe is down to the Met, not Palace fans.

It’s generally referred to as the St Patrick’s Day massacre round these parts...

A customer of mine is a Palace STH and attends several away games told me today that he hasn't got sufficient loyalty points so can't buy a match ticket. He was asking the best pubs in Brighton to watch the game and yet he lives in Caterham. How many other Palace will make the journey without tickets.
Surely it's easier to police selling more tickets and having that lot all under one roof.

Take their boot laces out then remove belts and braces :moo:
One palarse away game late 70s early 80s it was raining and my shoes were taken away in the Brighton end by the OB, Either that or be thrown out. I was wearing crisp packets on my feet for the whole game. I was escorted to their office/cell and there were 15-20 pairs of boots and the OB behind the counter looked at my shoes and rolled his eyes as if to say I can't believe that. Before any one asks, one was cheese & onion and one was smokey bacon flavour packets.

Is he a bit stupid?
If Palace V Brighton is on TV and I couldn't get a match ticket, the last place I would go to watch the match on TV is a pub in South London/ Croydon.
I would tell him to go and watch the game in a Palace pub.

Edit- Just seen post below mine, it's not on TV.

Have I missed something? It's not on TV.

There's a beam-back at Smellhurst, just up the road from him.

Why is that please? It’s a system that appears to reduce trouble and ensures the ticket buyers are those who attend. Why am I an idiot?

Are you on a wind up? Are you actually a fan who has ever been to away games? You have even made me agree with Return of the Rev, a feat I never ever thought possible.

I'm concerned that Palace are only getting 2,000 tickets. What's all that about?
This game has needle, so what? Do we want home fans only all sat there being quiet. Football rivalry is about atmosphere. You restrict the amount of away fans you restrict the atmosphere.
Are Sussex OB & the Mighty Met saying they can't handle little old Brighton & Palace?
It's another example of the authorities using the excuse of the hooligan threat to limit numbers, for whatever cock & bull reason they can come up with.
1 step away from a bubble game with this fixture, which is a joke.
It's a fierce rivalry, but Celtic v Rangers it aint!

Hello, new poster here, I’m not police, honest. But where’s a good place for a good old fashioned tear up with them Palace? Also I want to make friends with some of the lads that like this type of thing so if anyone could provide names (and addresses where possible) please let me know.

Agreed. There has not been any real trouble for years. The whole planning for these games is totally over the top & heavy handed.
first game at the Amex Palace melted away after the game on the ramps at Falmer station so I heard after that they've been escorted to the Ground for their own protection

As another Palace fan has already said, it's a Police decision to hold or not hold back the away fans.
Regarding the hundreds of Brighton fans trying to get at the Palace fans, if they wanted to have a go, they could have.
Lots of posturing on both sides.

What a goon ! CCTV camera on top of Brighton station pointing straight down Queens rd ,carry on
