1) Just diabolical. We only stayed up because there were three teams that were just more inept than we were. Boring football, negative tactics and sub-standard players. Not to be repeated, hopefully. I'd like to think the board have learnt from their mistakes in the transfer market and the squad is certainly looking stronger now than it did at the start of last season.

2) We haven't actually sold anyone yet. We may miss Joao Teixeira who we had on loan from Liverpool last season and was one of few players that didn't give a completely awful account of themselves. I'm confident that Hemed will turn out to be a good signing, Gaetan Bong looks the part at LB, Rosenior is a proven quality player at this level and it's given us all a great boost having Zamora back.

Young Jack Harper from Real Madrid also looks an exciting prospect, but he is crocked at the minute.

We're crying out for a winger but I'm confident we'll bring the right player in soon enough, possibly Ben Marshall from Blackburn or Jamie Murphy from Sheff U.

3) The fans sometimes get frustrated that we aren't spending big money like some clubs in the division, but Tony Bloom is Brighton through and through and has built us one of the best stadiums and training facilities in the country. He's running the club sensibly and he wants what is best for the club above his own interests; I can't fault him.

I'm not sure on Hughton yet. I fully support him as he came in under difficult circumstances having to clean up the mess that Sami Hyypia and former 'Head of Football Operations' David Burke left behind. He's bought in some good players and had some good results along the way, so that's a positive, but I feel we're lacking that flair that we had under Poyet.

He is a bit of a dullard, but at least we have some stability at last and rarely look like conceding. Lack of goals was our downfall last season (Dunk was our top scorer..), hopefully that won't be the case this season.

4) I think it's absolutely the same situation here with Stockdale. He was hit and miss last season, kept us in a few games and showed real class at times, but there were a fair few costly errors thrown in there as well. All keepers make mistakes over the course of a season I guess. Now he has some real competition for the spot from Niki Maenpaa, hopefully we will see the best of him this season.

Off the field, he could do with getting off social media as he's not great at dealing with the Twitter trolls. He does receive a lot of unwarranted abuse but he needs to learn to rise above it. Every club has their idiots after all.

5) Mid-table I think, and I'd be satisfied with that after last season's debacle.

6) Kazenga LuaLua had a blinder in our opening game and scored the winner against Southend in the cup, so hopefully he will realise his potential this season. He has acquired a reputation as a 'super-sub' over the years so it's time for him to prove that he can influence games from the off.

But our best player is without a doubt Beram Kayal, he stands head and shoulders above the rest.

7) McCormack, obviously not for the fee you paid for him though!

8 ) 0-0.

Hello All,

1) Firstly let's talk about last season, can you sum up the season in a few sentences?

From my vantage point, utterly tedious. Abject might be a better description.

2) Have you been happy with the coming's / goings over the summer, who was your biggest loss, along with the best signing in your opinion?

Bobby! None of the outgoings(so far) will be missed.

3) Your views on the manager and chairman of your club?

Love T.B. Cant judge C.H on last year.

4) What do you think of David Stockdale, he was loved by some, and disliked by others at Fulham, is this the same at Brighton?
Your description of his time at Fulham is apt for his time here, I think.

5) Your expectations for the coming season?
Squad as it is: bottom third. With a couple more good signings: middle third. With the rumoured four or five signings: top third.

6) Your player to watch this season?

Kayal for the neutrals. Bobby for me.

7) One Fulham player ( if any ) you would like in a Brighton shirt?
We need goals, so McCormack.

8 ) The big one.... Score predictions for Saturday?
If you score its hard to imagine you will lose. If we score its slightly easier but still fairly hard to imagine we'll lose.

I really like Stockdale, like all keepers he's remembered for his mistakes but I prefer to remember that astonishing penalty save at the Amex last season against a team I can't remember... but truly the best penalty save I've ever seen, no exaggeration!

He didnt deserve the flack he got off some of our "fans" on social media last season. Also he was playing behind a pretty shoddy defence lest we forget, he wouldn't have been bursting with confidence exactly.

Stockdale is a good keeper and having real competition in the squad will keep him on his toes. I do think his concentration isn't 100%, that long throw on Saturday being the one blip on an otherwise solid performance, could easily have ended up in the back of the net.

A pretty shoddy defence, eh?

Of course the Leeds fan would say that.
Last season wasn't a 'reality check'. It's what happens when you remove your good players and replace them with less than average ones.
We had very good players between 2011-2013, therefore we finished in good positions.

We are now obviously trying to replicate the 2011-2013 seasons.
Therefore, we should be gunning for top 8 - ideally top 6.

My expectations are for BHA to finish in the top THIRD of the table.
I don't think that's expecting too much at all.
I think it is.

1) Firstly let's talk about last season, can you sum up the season in a one word?
Shi'te.

2) Have you been happy with the coming's / goings over the summer, who was your biggest loss, along with the best signing in your opinion?
No great losses but nothing to shout about either. Too many people are putting a lot of faith in the new striker (can't remember his name  )

3) Your views on the manager and chairman of your club?
Manager: Not great last season although (marginally) better than Sami. He seems to be able to spend money though so we shall see this season
Chairman: No one is allowed to find fault with him. Or else.

4) What do you think of David Stockdale, he was loved by some, and disliked by others at Fulham, is this the same at Brighton?
A bit shit at times

5) Your expectations for the coming season?
Top six.

6) Your player to watch this season?
Not yet been signed

7) One Fulham player ( if any ) you would like in a Brighton shirt?
Ben Pringle

8 ) The big one.... Score predictions for Saturday?
1-1

Hello All,

I hope you are all good, I am sure you are pretty happy after dodging a potential banana skin yesterday away to Southend. We did the same beating Wycombe 1-0 away....

I am from Viva El Fulham, but I come in peace.... We are just wanting to know your views on a few things, and if you could help answer a few questions that would be really appreciated.

1) Firstly let's talk about last season, can you sum up the season in a few sentences?

I know you all have different opinions, but we would love to hear them all.

Your answers will be shared on vivaelfulhamforums.com

Thanks everyone, and good luck for the season ( apart from when you play Fulham )

Viva El Fulham

Why does every plonker from up north have to say 'I come in peace'?...so, so dull

Last season. Gloom.
Comings and goings. Jury's out.
Manager. Better than Sammi but so what.
Chairman. A bit like God. We should thank him but there are questions to answer.
David Stockdale. OK Careful what you wish for.
Expectations. I think we'll win the League.

Thanks everyone.

I will put some of these comments up on our site....

I hope it is a good game tomorrow, and not ruined by a stupid referee decision. Good luck for the rest of the season, and I will be back later on in the season.

Basically we all think the same; Last season was shit, we're somewhat better now but it's early days, we won't concede many so will be hard to beat, but no one is expecting much.

This post was sponsored by the colour grey and a general sense of boredom.

Thank you for that post. true colours etc.
???

Good grief, don't be such a drip. I'm not saying they can't come in peace, I'm saying don't bother announcing it because it sounds SOPPY and is taken as read.

'every plonker from up north' When talking about a Fulham fan. If indeed it is a joke. [and it isn't always] it's an old one and ….. dull.
