Exactly. The saints fan came here and gave a balanced view of the game and in no way rude or confrontational and gets spouted bollocks from a small minded individual.

Like I said earlier, weird.

The OP will hopefully note the wider positive response and disregard any aggression, to post here again

My son had never heard of Livramento, but I remembered him getting rave reviews after some Southampton wins this season, reckoned to be a cert for England?

The story about Livramento was that we had a very strong interest in him, in fact it was reported that he was joining us. Chelsea then got the jitters about giving us another very good defender for peanuts, so decided to add on a buy back clause that they could demand we sell him back to them for a pre- arranged price, at their convenience, if he made the grade.

Tony Bloom told them to do one, and , it appears Southampton agreed to it.
I can neither confirm or deny that this is true, but, it was what was reported at the time.

It was a very entertaining game and probably a fair result but the officiating was shit and Saints got away with so much foul play. They certainly know how to throw themselves to the ground and feign injury too.

Agree with all of that….Che Adams does like kissing the turf, the guy who got subbed with cramp after sixty odd minutes going down in ten stages and the numpty of a lino running the east stand

Having said all that I felt a draw was fair if frustrating

Going from local journalists…mostly true I think.

Rumour is that Chelsea do have a buyback clause, around £40m ( we paid 5 )
And they can’t activate this until summer of 2023.

I said to my son at the time, that us winning at that moment, helped the goodwill.

I never like to hear abuse aimed at a player being taken off on a stretcher, I can’t say I’ve noticed a standing ovation before from our fans for a player from the opposition.

It was refreshing how after the game everyone wandered home side by side without any obvious d!ckheads in sight.
No doubt someone will report of odd incidents but overall it felt quite sensible.

How Football should , i have a mate spending a 2nd night in an ICU in a Birmingham hospital after being brutally attacked outside St Andrews yesterday . He is not in a good way. It's not the bloody 80's .

Another Sunny away day to the Amex…

Always get lucky with the weather, when we play you away it seems, 11 years yesterday I burnt to a crisp on the open terrace at the withdean in ‘That game’.

Anyway… felt we rode our luck at times, another VAR call in our favour by what looks like centimetres.
Felt you were the better team for large parts of the game, we had good spells but that was about it.

Another JWP free kick, it was mad to see how the fans in the north stand acted like it was a penalty with the arm waving, trying to put him off etc.

Brighton hadn’t scored at home in how long before today? Always knew that record would be broken when I found out 😂

Burgers are good.

See you next season ✌🏻

Bloody hell they must have improved, when I last had a burger at a game it was awful. I thought it was an even game to be honest and a draw about right. Hope the injury to your player that was stretched off is not to bad. Though I think our third should of counted.

Great picture.
