If Vincent thinks we are overachieving I guess he isn’t aware that this year we are...

- 20th for distance covered
- 20th for games won
- 20th for goals scored
- 19th for xG
- 19th for Big chances

Personally I’m disappointed because he seemed such a great fit for Palace as well as being a well respected, decent person, but we have been regressing both as a team and in the performances of the players all season. I can see why Parish did it but I question the timing if he didn't, as appear’s the case, already have a replacement in mind.

I’ll never understand my club.
He had a first good season at Nice (taking them one place higher than the previous season) and then tanked in the second season and was sacked around Christmas after five straight defeats. I don't think he came with a good reputation - he was a gamble. And it seems something similar has happened this time too.

I couldn't be more delighted.

I would have thought that, contrary to your central point, your own statistics actually DO confirm that Palace are overachieving, in terms of league position - 12th, and 27 points (1.0 ppg) and three points above the drop zone. Your own statistics tell us you think you should be in 19th or 20th position!

Listen to Vincent Kompany again. He's right. He's got Burnley (yes, that's Burnley) purring, achieving 2.0 goals per game on 83 points, 13 above Sheff Utd in second.

So by those stats you are over achieving? & Kompany is correct?

Odds are seriously shortening on RH heading back to Selhurst Park.

Makes me wonder if this had already been arranged in secret - still quite stunned that Palace could pursue a 95 year old Hodgson who my Watford mate described as the ‘most clueless, embarrassing joke of a manager we’ve ever seen’…..
Surely Roy can't be THAT bored in retirement that he'd accept 🤔

I specifically referred to this year, not this season. All our overachieving was done last year and that’s my point, as backed up by those stats, our form has crashed to the floor this year. Kompany chose to ignore that fact when making an otherwise interesting interview.

You're not 20th for games won. You are level 14th with 6 other teams. You are third on draws and have lost less games than all other teams in the bottom half. You have scored the least goals, but only six teams have conceded less. Your manager was fairly inexperienced, but was reportedly liked and respected by the playing staff. He was just coming to the end of a very difficult run of games and must have been looking forward to an upturn in results, when your stupid panicky owners shat the bed and fired him because their business model seems entirely based on the EPL TV money never running out. You're back to square one again. Another repeat of let's get in Allardyce, Pulis, Hodgson, overpay pay stupid wages for some decentish, battling journeymen and play anti-football to survive. The next move is usually to throw another huge contract at Zaha to provide the only way of winning enough matches to keep the Championship wolf from the door. At Selhurst, patience is a word only ever to be applied to the time needed for a stadium development.

Which part of “this year” did you miss?
