Naah.. they've got that money ring-fenced. They should be ok, unfortunately.
Uh-oh...

See I do not understand this logic, most of the teams below them are granted pretty bad, but most have a game in hand and Palace have to play them, none of them will be easy and all those teams are capable of beating Palace. Roy's pragmatic turgid set up, begs teams to attack them, and if they go a goal down, the crowd will turn, they seem like a team with no fire in the bellies and to me Roy is not someone who ignites or inspires passion.

If I were a Palace fan (cough, splutter, vomit) I would be very, very worried.
None of them are that bad. They are all OK, even southampton at present. Leeds, Bournemouth, Leicester, wolves, everton have more about them than Palace. West Ham will surely not be as bad against others as they were against us. Forest have a better squad but still look vulnerable.

At the end of the season the bottom clubs start getting results, someone gets sucked into the bottom three late on and panic sets in.

It's will be Palace this year. They've just confirmed it.

11/2 on oddschecker to go down.
I'd love to put some on that but the only sure way for them to be safe is for me to bet against it.

Bournemouth and Southampton were generally being spoken about as gonners, but I thought Bournemouth showed enough against us for me to think they had a decent chance of getting out of it. Since then, they were unlucky to lose against Arsenal but did the business over Liverpool.

Southampton look generally shit though - for me, they'll go.

Like you, I think many of the other sides have enough quality that gives them a good chance of survival.

Palace may now have an easier run of fixtures, now but it's all relative. Easier does not mean easy and it's not easy - it's going to be a fascinating watch.

The danger comes from the players thinking they are easier games and not being as 'up for it' as against the better teams.
We have often struggled against teams near the bottom.

Tuff question time...

Penultimate game of the season at home to Southampton.
would you take a defeat if palace would be relegated due to that result, however we miss out on top 6

Relegation battle will be really tense and I could see maybe five teams fighting for it up till the final day. Think Palace will be just above those teams, they have enough quality and experience to sort it out in the end.

I actually like Roy as a person as well as a manager and the likelihood of him keeping Palace up is quite good, but that's about it,I'd be wanting my money back on my season ticket if I happened to have the misfortune to support Palace.

This appointment kind of sums them up really, just stagnating with no real ambition to improve or develop any part of their club,Palace are meandering into a precarious situation with a distinct possibility it will all fall apart from top to bottom.

I can't really see where they will get 15 more points this season because 40 points will be the absolute minimum any team will need to stay up looking at the table right now I'd be surprised if anyone stayed up with less than 40.

Good luck Roy,you will need it.

I'd be amazed if it were that high.

Hodgson's appointment is not so much "Back to the Future" but "Back to the Past". They must be banking on scoreless draws keeping them up.

They were gonna stay up with Vieira, they'll stay up with Hodgson (and the fans will love him, proclaim it was a master stroke by Parish etc).
Roy has taken over with the club in 12th. They now have an easy run-in. Do you think they'll finish higher or lower than 12th?

I doubt it's going to look like a master-stroke.
