The most curious thing..
Vitriolic criticism of Ankergren on other threads a bit harsh. 1st goal no chance of stopping it. 2nd maybe hesitated for a fraction of a second and possibly put off by el abd's failure to challenge, but not his fault. 3rd goal had to get through a crowd and unfortunate that ball landed at feet of forward - not great punch but defence gave him no help.

With the 3rd goal, it should have been obvious for anyone who has seen Walcott play to see he likes to stand at the edge of the box at corners (e.g. his goal for England against Sweden in Euro 2012). Plus why CMS had the job of being on the line when he's so short is a mystery too.

Ankergren and Brezovan have to go before next season. They are a liability.

He was put on the front post, which shorter players tend to go, he just didn't push up.

Defence gave him no help? He climbed over and jumped into 3 of them who were going for the ball at the time to try to get to the ball himself.

I can't remember seeing any opposition team that broke forward as quick as Arsenal yesterday. Hopefully our team will learn from this for the future.

So you put the tall players on the posts and mark the opposition giants with your short guys !
